Good Morning Peeps!
The title refers to two things: the first is Philip DeFranco's recent video. He breaks down the whole Time Magazine front cover, knocking down certain people's excuses for hating the person chosen. Never mind the reasoning behind the line "The President of the Divided States of America". Does no one else want to know why they boldly put that there? Don't you think Time Magazine might have some interesting backlash for that? Perhaps. It depends on if they can get past the cover art. And that's just it. The cover picture may take away from the content of the magazine.. Take that with whatever grain of salt you wish but the point is, at the end of the video Philip DeFranco talked about YouTube Rewind. It's worth watching that. All of it. I internet love this guy...
The second thing was Lordo sending me a video of a comedian. SO MUCH THIS!!! Is really how I feel when people give bullshit responses to me in twitch chats, "I'm triggered". Good for you. Last night I was moderating for a chat and this one guy said, "I have you blocked because I guess you said something that offended me." A moderator that you're supposed to listen to, is blocked... Because you don't like what I said one day? And then when I called him out on it by saying that I haven't had a problem and he wasn't going to be banned for anything. I guess because of my slightly abrasive personality, he blocked me again. This is a bit of a problem because Twitch forces moderators to see everything even people YOU have on ignore (only for the channels you are a moderator in by the way...), yet, users can ignore the moderators. What... the.... fuck...? Basically, I can see them insult/bash other people but now I can't defend myself or my friends as a moderator because the user has no balls.... Real talk though, I know that I'm difficult to understand/deal with. I'm abrasive on occasion because I've been pushed around and screwed over way too much over my lifetime. I decided a while ago to push back. I don't pull punches if people are deliberately putting down my friends. That one guy in chat not only said that I was being an asshole, but that he had other moderators on ignore. Casually he mentioned that they said other things that offended him. Yet, I had a discord channel muted because of him and a few other people who took the time to be complete dicks without going answered. Pot. Kettle. Black. This is the sum of my problem. I don't really care if the guy likes me or not, but I don't think it's fair to assume that they'll get away with saying whatever the fuck they feel like without repercussions.
In good news, I made it to the end of Nanowrimo. My vampire novel is going to need work but regardless, I'm still in editing phase of Agnus the Beast. I need to figure out a decent way to sort through editing.. One day I'll get there.... I went to the Thank Goodness It's Over party and won the Nano hat :D BWAHHAAH. The winner of the book "Get Ready, Set, Write!" was won by a woman in my writing group. That's fantastic.
Immediately after that, I went to S.M. Carriere's meetup to celebrate her novel as part of the Renaissance Press lineup! I'm sooo excited for her. She genuinely has worked hard to get officially published and now she is! So ridiculously happy :D
This month is party filled and my god is it busy! Though, this is the season that I need to be busy otherwise I'll go mad. Just trust me. There are reasons.
Anyways, that's all for now! I have games to play for holiday items, an article to write, and writing/editing to do on novel stuff. Perhaps I can solidify what I'm doing with my short story I want to release as an eBook. GAH!
